AP Cabinet clears land allotment for various companies
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has cleared allotment of 150 acres of land for IT major Infosys Technologies Ltd at Mamidipally and Kancha Imarat villages in Ranga Reddy districts. The land will be sold at Rs. 12 lakhs an acre.
Earlier in March infosys signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to expand its presence in Hyderabad in 550 acres of land. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has already identified 150 acres for Infosys and the balance of 400 acres will be identified in the near future.
Raheja, Indu Projects and Brahmani Infotech have also been allotted 250 acres each in the same villages. They would be part of an integrated IT SEZ providing employment to about 1,35,000 professionals.
The Army Welfare Association has been given 15 acres at Jawaharnagar near Shamirpet near Hyderabad to establish an army institute of medical sciences.

Brandix, a garment giant, would get 1,000 acres at Atchyutapuram for a 25-year lease at Rs. 5 lakhs an acre to develop a garment city with an outlay of Rs. 50 crores and provide jobs 60,000 people. In line with the MoU, the Cabinet also approved the release of Rs. 12.5 crores to develop infrastructure for the project.
An extent of 10 acres has been allotted at Chinnadadila near the city to Apollo Hospitals at the rate of Rs. 2 crores an acre for setting up a super speciality hospital.
